Older Unfinished Sketches
Sketches from the last few months that I've finally cleaned up, similar to the last batch, but with a more perspective-y theme.

I still don't think there's many I'd use, maybe the hand-stand and the sitting pose in the top left, but again, this is as far as they're getting for now.
Unfinished Sketches
Some cleaned-up sketches I'm not going to use, Kirianna at her most average (sleepy, sarcastic, silly, playful and liberally unclothed in private).

I just realised as I upload this that I might actually use the top right, I've not actually ever drawn a yawning face I was actually happy with before :floating:
Mini Chelonian by Thaylien
Mini Chelonian
Africa Trip 2015, 44 of 44

This one was... small enough to fit in my palm, if I'd picked him up, or smaller. I have big hands, so about as long as my index finger, all told.
Mini Zebra by Thaylien
Mini Zebra
Africa Trip 2015, 43 of 44

This fuzzy little guy is a Mountain Zebra, you can tell by the way the stripes go all the way down to the hooves, his cousins are the plains zebra, or Quagga Zebra, who have nearly white back ends.
Bat Eared by Thaylien
Bat Eared
Africa Trip 2015, 42 of 44

Not as good a photo as I wanted, but the best of the bunch, these guys move around too much! Also, a pack of foxes needs to be updated to a 'mischief' of foxes. It must be done!

More recording... swearing abounds!

*New Update* Number 7 is a Harry Potter AU that caught my eye, discuss?

*New Update* Number 8 is a British-ification of Vaas Montenegro from Far Cry 3!

Now, guidelines are kind of rough, we'll see what comes up:

1: No smut. Not now, maybe later though if this takes off ;) (Wink)

2: I can't do many voices or accents beyond my own, please be gentle.

3: Nothing is true, everything is permitted. Well, sort of, see number 1.

Apart from that? Go for it. Fiction, song lyrics, even random words, give me something fun to read!

Let me know in the comments, or even Note me suggestions if you want it to be a surprise to other people out there.

List of challenges: (give me more!!)

1. Minecraft:…
2. Intro to Dark Souls:…
3. Jabberwocky:…
4. Left Side Right Side:…
5. Creepypasta; HE leads Them:…
6. Creepypasta; Vampire:…
7. Harry Potter AU:…
8. British Vaas Montenegro:… Warning! Swearing in plenty, it's Vaas after all.

Onwards and Upwards!

If you're reading this, you're bored. That, or uncomfortably interested in who I am...

Long story short, ask me, I like telling people stories, and my own is quite a good one (if you're into comic tragedies and occasional deviations into Monty Python).

I'm no angel, but I keep the wings, just in case :floating:

Man, I'm ded... talk to you about it sometime, but I'm going the way of the Dodo bird.

Seems like something big is going on on your side.
Thaylien Featured By Owner Nov 10, 2015  Hobbyist Digital Artist
No, something bad. Not something I can talk about in a public forum, because it involves a family member, but basically I'm completely out of time for things like drawing and creating just about anything.

I haven't done anything like drawing for months now, not even my practice work to keep my eye in, I'm hopelessly out of form. Not to mention all my energy is just being drained to the point of insomnia, health problems and the desire to just run away and never come back. As you can imagine, that wouldn't help anything, so I'm kind of stuck.

If I can come back from this, then you'll find me here again, drawing up a storm thanks to all the bottled-up creativity I'm suppressing, but I can't allow myself to waste time on me when there's so much that needs to be done for someone else.

It's not all bad news though, I'm actually going to be getting some time for just me, something to look forward to is always worth the time it takes to get there. In short; I've booked a different sort of holiday for next February than I would usually book. Instead of going to Africa to visit relatives, or to somewhere else in the world where I could do the same, I'm going to chase the Aurora Borealis in the north of Sweden (a place called Abisko) for five days. End of February I'll be out there ticking things off my proverbial Bucket List, like 'standing on ice that can support my weight without cracking' (I'm going ice fishing), and 'take a walk in snow deep enough to be inconvenient' (living in England I've never had snow deep enough to actually need me to change shoes, so out there I'll be going snow-shoe trekking) and finally... [drum roll please] staying a night in the Ice Hotel!

So... a mixed bag of things. Right now I'm terrible and may not be able to do anything or be anywhere but IRL helping out, but I have something awesome to look forward to, and things can always get better.

Catch you around! :floating:

Happy B-Day Nick! I know I'm not on much (though I wish to have the self motivation to be!) but wanted to shout out that I'm still here. Hope you've had a great day today and that things are well =)
Thaylien Featured By Owner Jul 24, 2015  Hobbyist Digital Artist
Thank you! I'm not on as much as I want to be either, to be fair, so don't fret about that :floating:

Daily lurker, though, so you'll always catch me with a message XD
Kins-Wolf Featured By Owner Jul 25, 2015  Hobbyist Traditional Artist
I will keep that in mind for sure =D! Hope you had a great day the other day as well =).

Nick appreciation comment:

I just wanted to use this space to tell you how much I appreciate you.

That is all.

Greetings, stranger. Hope you fared well these past two years :3
Thaylien Featured By Owner Jul 19, 2015  Hobbyist Digital Artist
I'd love to tell you I was fantastic over the last two years, but the best I can muster is 'I survived them' :floating:

Great to see you back!
TaurusJ Featured By Owner Jul 19, 2015
Oh man... Surviving is pretty much the very term I'd use for the last few years.

But as you used to say, after every low comes a high... or rather, a place not quite as low and disappointing as before and that's where I'm headed right now. Turns out, being a teacher is a metric shitton of work but at least it's enjoyable work so there's that.

It's great to be back ^^

I remember back when you got the job, you were so excited :floating: How is it these days? What subjects do you cover?

Any interesting stories?

How's life treating ya, Nick?
Thaylien Featured By Owner Nov 6, 2014  Hobbyist Digital Artist
Hey, and 'ugh'... Life is treating me badly, this is the fourth night this week where I've arrived home after 8pm from a 9-5:30 day job.

But I can't complain, I'm getting paid for it at least. Not much, but paid.

How about you my young friend?
joeyh3 Featured By Owner Nov 6, 2014  Hobbyist Digital Artist
Damn, that sounds unpleasant :( Long shifts, or just too much going?

I'm sorry that's happening though. *hugs*

I can relate though. I moved halfway across the country and started a new job about six months ago. The hours are good, but the traffic between home and work is awful. Leave at 7AM, Get home about 6-6:30PM. It gets old quickly.

Otherwise life's been alright. Still getting used to the new place, missing the old one a little. But you can't stay in the same place forever either, and the new job was definitely worth the change.

Heh, I wish I could change jobs, move somewhere else, the problem is I have zero funding. (Pity-party rant ahead, you don't have to read it)

It's only this year that they started paying me a liveable wage (I'm still living with my grandparent, have no car, no savings) so my ability to go anywhere is entirely zilch without help. Ten years I've worked for these guys, eleven as of next month, and up until August this year I didn't get paid enough to put any money away as savings, not enough to move out of the house, not enough to put a down-payment on a car... For a skilled labour job as a full-time Prepress operator for a printing firm (as in, I have to be as good a designer as one that's college trained, a colour tech, be able to run diagnostics on software over the phone and trouble-shoot the ins-and-outs of all the specific problems a mechanical plate processor gets on a weekly basis). There's a special place for the only company in a twenty mile radius in my field of expertise that will outright claim near bankruptcy for ten years so that they don't have to give their workers a wage rise, nor pay them overtime and then take the other pay-outs like 'death in service' pay down to a third of its previous... Hell, the only reason I could go on holidays, as you may have seen from my gallery, is because I actually have family out in Africa.

ANYWAY! Rant over! I'm finally able to do what I want, sort of. The pay rise is welcome, the return of overtime pay too, and I'm putting money away for down-payments on things like a vehicle and holidays again. I just wish it didn't come with added responsibility that kept me at work for three or four hours after normal working shifts. That's the rough bit.
