That's the last of them, and what a finish if I do say so myself... Can you tell I kind of like Autumn? :floating:

I managed to surprise myself with this one, just because I haven't done something quite like it before. Besides that when you put it in a desktop background with black outline... it just looks so good! I love this one, and I can't stop looking at it one more time before I close up.

As per usual I'll come back tomorrow and spot my mistake, but hopefully this time it's not with the anatomy (crit on that please, I'd appreciate it) and just on the styling and shading.

Now this is all :iconinvariance:'s fault... if it wasn't for her Winter Angel I wouldn't have done any of these, so I both thank you and reprimand you for your excellence ^^

Still, it's late again, so I'm off to finish up the rest of my online duties.

Time taken; 4 hours all-included.
Materials; tech pencil on plain A4 paper, scan, colour in photoshop CS3 with uber-mouse-skill.

Big file is A4-ish at 300dpi, download at your peril if you have low-speed internets, although well worth it if you have a high-res printer ^^

Love you all!

FN

Autumn's always fun for me, you still have the warmth from summer, but you get the unpredictability of spring, the occasional chill of winter and colours to rival all the rest ^^ That, and Autumn is the time of my patron goddess, Lahanna, so I'm not sure I could avoid liking it :floating:

Thanks, we'll see where the course of basics takes me.

Defo my favourite angel. Kinda helps that i like autumn as well. Thinks are looking up for your artistic talents bud. Nice to see you actually left some clothing on her though cos i know what you're like.
Rebound, catch you on it.

Nah, if you look there's some really *silly* mistakes. I'm taking a crash course and re-learning how I do this. It may help, or it may not, but it'll certainly keep me in practice ^^

And you *what*? I don't have the bloody confidence to do nudes yet, not when I keep mucking about the anatomy...

The Angel of Autumn arrives riding the red and gold leaves to the ground in the last of the sunshine days the year clings to...

Fairies bring the physical changes of the seasons, such as the colour changes, the flowers blooming and withering, that sort of thing, but the Angels are wherever the season is beautiful and pure as your imagination can make them. In big ways, or in small ways, they are the essence of what a season should be.

Or at least that's what I've been trying to capture in these... ^^;

Anyway, next is my basic re-training course (self inflicted) to try and work out my techniques, fix my bad habits and learn a few tips that I should have found on the first time around :floating:

Thanks, and FN

Woooh, that's awesome, Nick.
It's a great pose and your colouring once again kicks ass. You've really "grown" along the seasons and made some big steps. It makes me wish there were more than 4 seasons XD
Great job

Big steps or not I'm going back for a re-training crash course to try and help fix my techniques and get rid of my bad habits ^^

After this comes Project Holiday bookings, and then we see what happens after that :floating:

Thanks again!
