But you still did an awesome job of adding color shading under the pencil shading (which is be no means easy for me). Though you may think this is simple its another stunning job of coloring

Thanks man, I appreciate the sentiments, but it's still, for me, the easy part... mostly because, and this is important, the shading and toning are already done.

That's the hard part for me; lighting a piece, putting the background in, and shading everything to fit... not something I'm able to do so well

That is very nice.

However, I think you should have gone all out in making the pic as dark(evil) as can be. BUt it is fantabulous I will get some more stuff for you to colour, if your up to it

Hmm, I could grunge it up a bit if you really want me to, but this is one of those moments that strikes me as a split-scene.

You know the ones in the older anime series where the scene is shot entirely from the angle of the sword strokes as they cut through the black background. So all you see is the angled area after the stroke. So in a moment or two, she's going to stand up and straighten out her clothes, and the animation will return to normal, but this one is the last part of that split-moment scene.

It always seemed to me that those are always either brightly lit for visual impact, or mono/duotoned for dark and morbid effects.

That and I just can't see her being all dark and evil-ey, she's too... hmm, I guess the phrase is she looks like the girl-next-door type who grew up too hard.

So yeah, there's still plenty more in your gallery that I want to have a crack at, but if you've got anything specific in mind then pass it on over ^^ I might have a little more time on my hands come the end of this week (see my journal for the explanation of that). Most of my work is in this default style though, bright and polished sorta thing, if you have a style that you want then do say and I'll adapt
