Fateful Reunion

Without any intervening time, he was there in front of her, looking back into her eyes, his face only betraying that he was glad to see her, and not showing the intensity of his need to hold her in his arms once more.

For her part, Ireyah didn't move, the awkward smile of relief on her face never leaving her. Not knowing what to do or say, she froze and waited, never once letting the feeling in her eyes waver, in case he should see how much she wanted to throw herself onto the safety of his chest and cry out the sick worry she'd held onto until now.

And, not needing to even pretend any different, Hidden Grace and Shielding Duty locked eyes as if they never wanted to look away again, which they probably didn't.

Just like the thousands of times it had happened before, the moment stretched away into infinity.

So this is the culmination of both Thaylien's and Ireyah's new looks, the earlier Thaylien didn't meet with my actual approval in the end, and this is what he now is; darker, scarred and even more confident than before.

And Ireyah's pose was too good to waste, considering I could now show a proper proportioning between the two. They start off, as kids, with Ireyah just a little taller than Thaylien, and quite a bit taller if you count the hair, but as generically happens she only grew a little more while Thaylien didn't stop.

It's not that they're vastly out of size, but Thaylien is rather tall (about six foot eight) and Ireyah's quite small (around five foot four) so the difference is just made a bit worse than if she were a little taller and he just a little shorter.

Besides, it added comedy value for a brief span in the writing ^^

Anyway, lack of background is lack of background and downloadable file is high resolution and a good physical size.
