Hah! Early Birthday present for :icontaurusj:

Nick and J meet and greet in the way that only two fictional persona martial arts practitioners do XD

Sorry for the warping of your persona, Janko, I've kinda... fused both Jan and Jake, Jake's outfit and Jan's earth-bending ^^;

Reason being this is the *first* pic I've ever done with my Wacom. New Mac brings fun and artistic gains!! That's right, be impressed, this is my new drawing-tablet-wielding skill debut! I've been using a tablet now for a total of... hmm... eight hours? The amount of time I've had this computer switched on in the last three days, either way...

So this, considering I've not drawn with the tablet before? I'm giving myself a pat on the back.

Sure it's not perfect, but I'm new at this (and I get to use this excuse all over again!!!) :floating:

::EDIT:: Almost forgot, credit for poses (since I didn't want wrath of righteous justice brought down on me... that, and I always give credit where I can, it takes people's opinions of my abilities down to the right level) to :iconjademacalla:

Heh, next time I'll do something like this with full colour and something getting kicked in the face to round it out ^^

You ever seen Airmaster? Old anime, but very fun, I started watching only a few days ago online and it's giving me so many *ideas* ^^

Kinda tricky getting the whole pen thing down at first isn't it? Well, glad you got a Wacom so that now some even more amazing talent can come out :XD:. And you defiantly deserve a pat on the back ;p.

Glad you like, but I wouldn't have changed the way I did things, given the choice. I'm glad I took time to use pencil and paper for so long, it's given me a better handle on how things actually get represented in drawings.

Very impressive. Extremely effective use of the poses, and I really like your clean style with just a bit o' shadow. Nice look. I have a feeling your are going the master the Wacom.

Funny side note: I was wondering who you used for the ref for the foreground character. ;-) (I'm so feeble, but it has been a long time.)

Thanks, I'm glad you like them. And yeah, these are just the flat colours, any shading is from the line-art itself ^^ If I'd put in another few hours on this you'd get full shading and a semi-background too, but it's stupid-o-clock in the morning, so I thought I'd best stop doing detail work before I wrecked my eyes.

As for the poses, both yours ^^ I don't go halves when I say I'm impressed with somebody's work.
