Steampunk Gashu Girl Finished by Thaylien Steampunk Gashu Girl Finished by Thaylien
The finished version of Gashu-Girl the, Steampunk edition.

She's a good character to do right now, as the more advertising we get the better, and also because the more costumes we make for her the better too ^^

All glory to the Gashu-Group!! [/Hypno-toad rip-off]

Also... watermarked, because seriously guys... it's about time I started, things are going to pot in the digital world...

Oh, before I forget, many, many, many thanks to the folk at Resurgere for the textures I've used (too many, I admit, and I can't remember the original artists for all of them either...)

Go check them out: :iconresurgere:

(And now I think I'll allow people the full-size download, since it's long gone off the front page, still watermarked though...)

My point is proven; anybody can do this if they put their mind to it, even somebody as generally un-artistic as me :floating:

Also, I have to say there's not much of a substitute for bouncing Darbs as an incentive to improve XD

Silly, yes, quiet no, artistic, debatable. Depends on what you class as artistic :floating:

Eh. I suppose. I kind of look at artistic as more of free form expressionism that you're willing to utilize. *shrugs* And you execute it well in my opinion. You have fun ideas.

Dungarees are very revealing when you don't put the straps on your shoulders, I've noted :floating:

Thanks boss, I still can pick holes in what I've done, but I'm getting better and the next one will hopefully blow some socks off!

This looks so awesome! I love your coloring style and I love the little details and tidbits that are all over it~ (half of them I didn't see in the lineart)

See what I mean, though? Line-art that looks better on it's own than any of the finished colour works I did before. It takes a while, but once you're at this stage, you keep wanting to find new ways to push yourself :floating:

I dread people who say that they want to acheive Perfection; if you're 'perfect' there's nothing more you can learn, nothing more you can find, nothing more you can do... a 'perfect' person would just exist. How boring would that be? A true master knows that they never master anything, but simply advance to the limit of their skill in any one direction, and should therefore move on to learning another thing as far as they can go all over again.

As for me, I'll put it like this: It's my profound hope that I can live life with the same philosophy, and that when it comes Death is just something I'll have to learn from the beginning as well.

Actualy this is what I call taking a while ^^ A full week or more between sketch and colour is unusual for images I actually plan to colour as I'll have at least the flat work done in the same evening I finish the line work. Sometimes the flats are all the images get, and so that's all I'll post, but with things like this...

Anyway, I'm most proud of the rather surprisingly clear colouring on the pipe-wrench. The arm was fun, but I'm not sure about the gun handle and trigger... it's a little off, but I can't figure how to fix it. The rest was as standard, with the exception of being able to use tilt-sensitive brushes for the colouring instead of smudging all over the place.

Thanks boss, I appreciate it :floating:
