Alright I was hoping that I wouldn't do this...

Coooompleeecaaaated... and I don't know how to finish it.

Any thoughts on a BG? I have no lighting, not a clue where she's leaping from or to... somebody give me an idea here!

'Winner' gets their suggestion used, if that's enough incentive... it probably isn't...

Anyway, yeah, Zoe is now the Witchblade wielder, more fully than ever yet seen. Witchblade belongs to TopCow comics and Zoe is mine, allll mine :floating:

Thanks kid, I appreciate that. Actually, looking at the other Witchblade fanart that you've faved, I feel a lot better about this piece :floating: You're obviously a long-standing fan of the series, so I'm glad that this stood out a little for you.

Actually, I have to think that this is one of my only fan art projects... ever. So again, thankyou ^^

Love the character ,it's as if she is mesmerized in flight and just lost in the moment ,awesome OC.As far as BG not my strong suit and with this there are so many ideas that come to mind but nothing that just leaps out at me but I did this for a background [link] on this one .Simple I no but it worked ,sometimes simple is best .

Thanks, I appreciate the .Fave :floating:

As for this piece, I'm kind of happy that I never finished it, I never get any... well, often with pieces like this where I've done something experimental, I get bits I'm not happy with. I think I pushed my envelope this time without breaking it, any more would have meant something I could look back on and not like ^^

Thanks again, and I can see from your page how you found this one XD

Backgrouds, hm,..

Well, my friend Spaz said something like castle ruines. ^^

I was going to say something foresty to, ^^ but if your looking citywiseish.
I'd say I see more something, with an ocean backing.
Almost like across an empty night harbour, where you can see city lighted on the other side, like on teh edge of a mountain, and maybe it opens into a an ocean from there?
She could be leeping from some higher builds on the closer side. Or some cliff area or something from wihtin the city.
o.o for some reason, it sounds dumb when I type it, and I cant get it out right, but it looks awsome in my head.

Don't sweat it ^^ I understand the problems of trying to describe vague ideas in text, I have to do it all the time myself.

And yeah, that does help, there's a few ideas in there that I can use :floating:

Thanks!

:wow: Fantastic work! I'm in agreement with =TaurusJ regarding the whole nosebleed thing, and I don't even swing that way. ;P

Personally, I wouldn't change a thing; I like how the lack of background works, and love your colouring style. But if you really want to press onwards, hmmm...(goes and Googles Witchblade...)

Well, I agree with Kinswolf, I definitely see a dappled lighting effect, maybe add some white highlights to the skin and hair and a bit of silvery or goldish gilding to the outline, like the light's coming from from behind her. For a setting...run down, gritty, but graceful. I'm thinking either a forgotten park/cemetary or a Cathedral...maybe in front of stained glass with several broken windows? Maybe someplace that's from Britian, since Zoe is (I believe) from your side of the pond?

Or you could throw the dappled light thing out the window and draw her in an old moonlit junk yard full of rusted cars...

...Or you could do something else entirely.

I'm not being very helpful here, am I? :D

No, you're being very helpful, plus thanks ^^

Hmm, church is good, something gritty is good... I like it, I'll see what I can come up with :floating:

Much appreciated, and even mildly amusing too when you consider the expressions that could have been going across your face ^^
