Now, this has got to be quick, no updates online in terms of art or writing or Agony Uncle related things (such as my Words section), apart from this news:
To any and all that read my journal, I'll be out of the office this weekend, I'm going to Alton Towers theme park (and taking my camera for kicks) tomorrow at 5.00am British time... too tired to calculate US east and west time...
I'll be recovering elsewhere on Sunday, and then it's another hectic week of work and slaving (we've been at least one man down due to holidays for the last three months and will be still for another month to come, after that there's a quiet point between then and Christmas, but... still)
More importantly, at least to those of you who like to speak to me more often than once a fortnight, I'll be out of the *country* from the afternoon of the 29th (this month), until the 13/14th of September. The big news of that is *I'M OFF TO AFRICA AGAIN BABY YEAH!!*
... Ahem. Capslock just... nevermind.
Anyway, to clarify, Alton Towers tomorrow; it's a massive theme park over here in England, I love the place and haven't been there in years. I hope the weather's nice ^^
Africa on the 29th of this month, for two weeks and some change, until the 13th or 14th of September. I've crow-barred hard enough to get the 'buy one get one free' ticket with a frequent flier when they go to visit their relatives in central Africa. So I'm flying out to Johannesburg on the 29th, and then on to Lusaka in Zambia on the following day. I have some rather closer-than-the-rest distant relatives there who I'll be staying with, and from there travelling out to see the sights and wonders of the African wilderness.
Hopefully the place will be as hot and dry as it was last time, because I'm too tall to fit in landrovers (the ones they have over there) and have to ride in the back. If it rains... I get very, very upset.
And who else do you know who's mad enough to sleep in the middle of nowhere in a small tent, knowing full well that there's a pride of lions, a small pack of hyenas and various other sundry nasty things in the middle of nowhere with him? Just me? Meh.
Actually, I hope that they give me the rifle again, I *like* the feel of carrying a .45 elephant rifle when I'm out there with the serious risk of being killed and eaten.
So, to sum up... KThnxBai, gotta sleep before midnight!
Love you all!

::eDonots are on hold until after Project Holiday!!::
eDonuts are free, anyone can have one, you just have to ask and I'll do my best. I also give out e-Donuts when I feel like it, so your name could appear here at any time.
The catch is that I have no time on my hands. You get free art, but I don't put a deadline on when you'll get it ^^
Test my abilities, ne?

The ones I keep.

Actions will speak louder than any words, if the action is compassion.

Hayley Brand: (Matt, you'll need to repost that pic! The link doesn't work anymore!!!)
When I take a walk, I trust in nature to be my companion. When I make my food, I trust in the people who worked to bring it to me to eat. When I talk, I trust people to listen.
Trust dictates everything we do, from the simple, to the complex and even the most basic of actions we take. It is neither earned or lost, it is given, or not given, and we live by the consequences of it.
Trust, and make the difference in your own life.
Save a life, tell stories.
When you come to the end of the road, then the only way to go is down the next one, life doesn't have the kind of boundaries that the world does.
I love you all.

I know that we are worlds apart
so all I can offer to you are words
honest ones, words from my heart
to close the gap between our worlds
Though I'd be worried about other things >.> lol
Hope it's a great trip all around ^^

Mine. ^^
It might be yours in every sense and meaning of the term, but I can still say it,
Mine!
Still, people have been telling me that I should be getting more holiday lately, I work too hard and spend too long dealing with other people's problems to have some quality 'me' time. I'm just taking their advice
It's good to hear from you, post up a journal to let us know what's going on with you lately!

Leap in the room, hit the emergency shut-off valve, beat up two bad-guys, run for the stairs, grab the girl and hurl us both out the upper story window! You have got to be kidding me... That's your big plan?

The theme park was *Awesome*. I haven't been there in nearly four years and the change is incredible, for one thing there's a ride called Rita, Queen of Speed. It's a rollercoaster that doesn't need to crank you up a hill first, it *launches* you horizontally from 0-60 in 2.5 seconds before you go around the rest of the track. Honestly, you couldn't wipe the smile off my face after that one
It was one tiring day, because I had to keep feeding our driver caffeine, pay for *everything* and keep everyone in the kind of mood where arguing was impossible (not keep everyone from arguing, that only causes people to think about arguing... I mean playing the lines so well that people seem to naturally get along.)
But nonetheless, I enjoyed every second of it, and the three of us that went all had a whale of a time.
Still, I've got one week to recover from this and get paid, and then three days of *mayhem* before my africa trip. (I'm the only one at work for the three days between our bank-holiday monday and the day I'm taking off as holiday on the friday.) So it's going to be interesting.
Sleepy now...

Put it this way; there's *nothing* that you can build short of a concrete bunker that a lion can't get into if it wants to, I've seen a lion carry a wildebeest over a fifteen foot fence topped with razor wire. So there's no point in trying.
The answer is to make it so that you are an 'unknown'. There are two things for a lion, known and unknown. Known is what's prey, terrain or to be avoided. Unknown is to be cautious of or to be ignored. If you sleep under a mosquito net, without a lamp on, with no part of your body sticking out, and you don't have any *food*... they ignore you. I woke up on a beautiful morning last time I went out, on the bank of a river in a tent, and the ground around us was slightly damp from dew, so the tracks in the dust were *fresh*. There had been; ten elephants, told by the different sizing on the toes, a small pride of lions, between us we found seven different set of tracks so we guessed that there were at least thirteen of them, and couple of hyenas through to drink at the river and also a crocodile had come out to bask on the bank in the morning sunshine.
I'm hoping to have that kind of experience again this time
And one thing's for sure, I'm taking a *lot* of batteries for my camera ^^

I wanna ride that queen... damn, read that sentence a few times... no wonder you couldn't stop smiling XDD
If you have to keep feeding someone caffeine, I suggest you threaten to give them an caffeine IV should they be sleepy enough. The propect of needles keeps people surprisingly awake XD
So there's some stormy weather before you can enjoy the sun in Africa, huh? Wish ya the best to survive that ^^

And, though I've never actually seen a lion do that, I do know to causion anything like that, excpecially in their own territory ^^
I hope one day that I'll be able to save up to go out and visit the places I want to see,..
Never mind hope, I will do it. Eventually ^^
Now, hurry up and go, so you can come back and tell us all about it

I'll post mine once I get them e-mailed from our (family's) friend. He had the underwater camera so he got all the col shots.
I'll post more info on my trip in my journal when I have time
Otherwise best of luck in Africa
